IT has cool history, but that's about it. The place was flooded & run down. A few plaques & picnic tables is all they have there

My 4×greatgrandpa Thomas Jenkins started the ferry across the saline river in 1815. Great place to swim...

Wonderful off-the-road day use historical park with a view of the Saline river. Pavillion, kayak launch, and picnic tables make this a comfortable place to spend some time as a family or relax in a hammock.

Simple roadside park with picnic tables. No bathroom facilities. Along a stretch of the Saline River.

Jenkins Ferry is not one of my favorite Arkansas State Parks. There are no restrooms, no trails and no campings. The park frequently floods. The banks are very slick and muddy and I haven't personally ever had any luck fishing here. It is OK for picknicking and just to get outside.
